WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today released the following statement, following the two horrific shootings at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand that claimed the lives of 49 people while injuring 20 more:

“Like so many, Connie and I are horrified and heartbroken after waking up to the news out of New Zealand this morning. No one should fear for their lives in their sacred place of worship. We must stand against white supremacy, Islamophobia and hate at home and around the globe,” said Brown.
