Brown Supports Efforts by Fuyao Workers to Hold Vote on Union Representation

Senator Urges Neutrality from Management

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) is voicing his support for efforts by the workers at the Fuyao plant in Moraine to conduct a vote on union representation. Brown says management should remain neutral in the upcoming election and allow workers the freedom to decide for themselves.

“Union representation is the bedrock of our middle class and has empowered generations of American workers to organize for better wages and fairer treatment in the workplace,” Brown said. “This must be a free and fair election where Fuyao workers have the freedom to decide for themselves and management doesn’t put its thumb on the scale.”
