MCARTHUR, OH – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) visited the Sojourners Care Network, a youth development organization in Vinton County. Brown met with organizational leadership and community members.
“Our most important job is ensuring that all children are raised in a safe, supportive place and have the tools they need to grow,” Brown said. “While too many children lack that support, Sojourners Care Network is stepping up to provide those resources and help strengthen Appalachia by giving more children the opportunity to succeed.”
Serving Appalachian Ohio, Sojourners Care Network offers a variety of programs, including connecting children to foster care, runaway and homeless youth services, employment training, diploma and GED support, mentoring, leadership.
