CLEVELAND, OH – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) welcomed President Joe Biden’s visit to Ohio - the third time since his inauguration. Biden visited the Cincinnati area and spoke at Mount St. Joseph University in Delhi Township.

“President Biden knows what we know – it’s workers in Ohio and across the industrial heartland who built this country, and that continue to power our economic recovery today,” said Brown. “I’m not surprised that the most pro-worker president in decades is spending time listening to Ohio workers and helping to grow the middle class.”

Ohio workers and their families have made progress during Joe Biden’s presidency. Wages have gone up, the families of 2.1 million Ohio kids have gotten tax cuts, and 5 million Ohioans got a stimulus check. The country has gained more than 3 million jobs since the President took office which is the most jobs created in the first five months of any presidency in modern history.

Brown had several votes in Washington D.C. that did not allow him to attend the President’s visit in person.
