Following Ohio State Win, Ohio, Oregon Senators to Make Good on Wager Through O-H-I-O Photo on the Capitol Steps

In Advance of Game, Ohio, Oregon Senators Made Friendly Wager on 2015 National Football Championship

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following The Ohio State University’s victory over the University of Oregon football team in the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, U.S. Sens. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Rob Portman (R-OH), Ron Wyden (D-OR), and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) will settle a friendly wager with an O-H-I-O photo on the Capitol Steps.

Last week, the senators agreed that if The Ohio State University was victorious, Wyden and Merkley would join Brown and Portman in spelling out “O-H-I-O.” If the University of Oregon had won, Brown and Portman were to have learned how to “throw the O” alongside the Oregon Duck. All parties pledged to fulfill the bet in public on the Capitol Steps.
