WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) – ranking member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs released the following readout after he met with Dr. Celia Rouse Nominee for Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers by President-elect Biden:

“I could not think of a more qualified person to lead the Council of Economic Advisers- Dr. Rouse’s career has been focused on workers and economic security. She will bring that expertise to the CEA and help the Biden-Harris Administration build an equitable economy that works for everyone. I discussed a wide range of issues with Dr. Rouse, including the pandemic, the child tax credit and earned income tax credit, and supporting our nation’s unbanked and underbanked communities. I fully support her nomination and urge my colleagues to do the same.”
