WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Ohio Department of Transportation will receive $1,550,000 for I-71/SR 665 Interchange Improvements in Grove City. The funds, allocated by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration, will be used to replace an existing freeway exchange.

"Rebuilding Ohio's infrastructure puts Ohioans to work and improves aging roadways," said Brown. "Ohio drivers who have had to navigate a clogged, heavily-congested section of I-75 will be able to breathe a sigh of relief due to this project."

The Federal Highway Administration awarded the Ohio Department of Transportation these funds for reconstruction and improvement of the I-71 Interchange with SR665, including SR665 corridor improvements from the Meadows Road intersection on the east to the relocated Haughn Road access intersection on the west.

The project replaces an existing freeway interchange that is heavily congested with rush hour commuter traffic as well as with large trucks and tractor-trailers from local business operations throughout the day.
