WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Neil Armstrong Airport in Wapakoneta has been awarded $180,000 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the design phase of a system to improve the airport’s drainage and handle storm water runoff and for the design phase of a repair to the airport’s terminal area storm and sanitary drainage systems. The award will also fund a water line installation.

“This federal investment is great news for the region and will enhance operations at Neil Armstrong Airport,” Brown said. “These improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
