WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has approved Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) benefits for Ohio manufacturing workers in Vandalia who were laid off when Inteva Products, LLC moved a portion of its operations out of the country.

"Losing a job can devastate families and affect whole communities," Brown said. "These funds will help ensure that these displaced workers in Montgomery county have the financial support and training opportunities to get a fresh start."

Former engineering and support service workers are eligible for assistance. These workers include on-site leased workers from the following companies: Accretive Solutions, Acro Services Corporation, Aerotek, Bartech, Contract Professionals, Advantis Healthcare, Enhanced Manufactured Solutions, Global Technology, G-Tech, Manpower, Talascend, Advantage Technical, and Sarcom. These on-site leased workers are eligible for TAA.

The TAA program is a federal program that provides aid to workers who lose their jobs or whose work hours and wages are reduced as a result of increased imports. The program extends benefits including training for employment in another job or career, income support, job search allowances, and relocation allowances. Qualified workers may quickly return to employment through a combination of these services.
