WASHINGTON, DC –U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced today that Neighborhood Health Association, a medical home serving Lucas County, received new resources from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support and develop primary care health services.

“Community health centers play a vital role in helping Ohioans obtain access to primary and preventive health care services,” said Brown. “These new federal resources will help Neighborhood Health Association provide affordable and accessible health care to more of Lucas County’s children, seniors, and parents.”

Allocated through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Health Center Cluster program, the grant will provide $1,172,611 to the Toledo-based organization.
