WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Seneca County Airport has been awarded $310,600 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to conduct a wildlife hazard site visit and to purchase land to enhance protection of Runway 6/24’s transitional surface.

“This federal investment is great news for the region and will enhance safety and operations at Seneca County Airport,” Brown said. “These improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
