Department of Transportation Provided Funding

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport has been awarded $448,767 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to build a new T-hangar taxiway and install a windcone to provide pilots with necessary airfield information.

“This is great news for Mahoning and Trumbull Counties,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance capacity and safety at Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
