WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Union County Airport has been awarded $56,669 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to conduct a Wildlife Hazard Assessment and improve pilots’ visual guidance by repainting faded markings on Runway 9/27.

“This is great news for Union County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance safety at Union County Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
