WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Brown County Board of Commissioners will receive $560,910 for upgrades to the Brown County Airport in Georgetown. The funds were allocated by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration.

"Improving airport infrastructure in Brown County means expanding economic opportunities in the region," Brown said. "These funds will create new jobs and enhance the Brown County Airport." 

The funding will be used to expand the airport apron, rehabilitate runway lighting, and remove obstructions to modernize the airport. Brown County Airport serves Georgetown and Brown County.
