Sen. Brown Announces More Than $575,000 In New Federal Resources to Improve Fayette County Airport

Department of Transportation Funding Will be Used to Repair Airport Runway

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Fayette County Airport in Washington Court House has been awarded $575,442 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to mill and overlay Runway 05/23 to preserve its structural integrity and reduce debris.

“This federal investment is great news for the region and will enhance safety at Fayette County Airport.,” Brown said. “These runway improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
