WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Richard Downing Airport in Coshocton has been awarded $671,400 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to rehabilitate Runway 04/22 to preserve its structural integrity and to reduce the potential for foreign object debris. Approximately 4,100 feet of the runway will be milled and overlaid.

“This is great news for Coschocton,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance safety at Richard Downing Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
