WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Darke County Airport in Versailles has been awarded $822,465 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to purchase approximately 29 acres of additional land to protect the area’s airspace from outside objects.

“This is great news for Darke County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance capacity and safety at Darke County Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
