WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Van Wert County Airport has been awarded $109,350 by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for the design phase of a south general aviation apron for aircraft parking and a taxiway to connect the apron to the airfield.

“This federal investment is great news for the region and will enhance operations at Van Wert County Airport,” Brown said. “These improvements will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
