WASHINGTON, DC – Talbert House will be able to expand services as a result of new federal resources. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Talbert House, a community center serving the greater Cincinnati area, received new resources from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support and develop primary care health services.
“Community health centers around Hamilton County – like the Talbert House – play a vital role in helping Ohioans obtain access to primary and preventive health care services,” said Brown. “These economic development resources help provide affordable and accessible health care to Cincinnati’s children, seniors, parents, and patients who rely on quality care in their local communities.”
Community health centers in southwest Ohio are a critical source of economic growth and local employment. The clinic will provide care to all patients, regardless of income.
Allocated through the Affordable Care Act, Health Center Planning Grants will provide $80,000 to the Cincinnati-based organization, which served an estimated 26,000 people last year.
