WASHINGTON, DC –A community health center in Lucas County will be able to expand services as a result of new federal resources. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that Neighborhood Health Association, Inc., a medical center serving Lucas County, received new resources from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support and develop primary care health services.
“Community health centers play a vital role in helping Ohioans obtain access to primary and preventive health care services,” said Brown. “These new federal resources will help Neighborhood Health Association, Inc. provide affordable and accessible health care to more of Toledo’s children, seniors, and parents.”
Allocated through the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Health Center Cluster program, the grant will provide $1,147,152 to the Toledo-based organization.
