WASHINGTON, D.C. – New federal resources have been awarded to an airport in north central Ohio. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Galion Municipal Airport has been awarded resources through the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to rehabilitate the Airport’s runway.

“Galion Municipal Airport provides important travel services to Galion-area small businesses, recreational pilots, and visitors,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for region.”

The airport will receive a $142,171 grant to be used for the rehabilitation of the airport’s runway.
