WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Gallia County manufacturer announced today that it will expand operations and hire additional workers during a ribbon cutting ceremony in Bidwell. A representative of the office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) attended today’s event.

“This is great news for Gallia County and Ohio Valley Trackwork,” Brown said. “Dan Evans Industrial Park is leading economic development and is an important part of our effort to bring new jobs and employers to southern Ohio.”

Ohio Valley Trackwork Inc. will expand operations in the Dan Evans Industrial Park and hire 5-10 new workers. Ohio Valley Trackwork Inc. constructs 98 percent of the track materials for underground mining and tunneling operations in the U.S. The 23-person firm also manufactures heavy-haul track material for railroad and industrial sites and some transit authorities.
