WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today congratulated 12 Fulbright Program recipients from Northwest Ohio. Fulbright awards, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, are highly competitive.
“Ohio is home to great schools and talented students who represent their hometowns and our country throughout the world,” Brown said. “From Ada to Bowling Green to Maumee, Toledo to Sylvania, Northwest Ohio students are earning national recognition for their commitment to educational excellence.”
The Fulbright Program was established by Congress in 1946 to build mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
