WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with President Obama today in the Oval Office. They discussed issues facing Ohio and the nation. Brown issued the following statement after the meeting:

“I enjoyed a productive meeting with President Obama today. One thing’s clear— this administration understands the challenges facing Ohio and is committed to getting our economy back on track. We discussed the importance of manufacturing to Ohio, fair trade, and the opportunities that exist for our state in the clean energy economy. We talked about how we can strengthen our nation’s middle class and create good-paying jobs. I look forward to continuing to work with President Obama to strengthen Ohio and our nation.”
