WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met last week with Tania Nemer of Akron; Jaclyn Celebrezze, Lana Kats, and Tanya Linetsky of Cleveland; and Philip Eichorn of Rocky River; representatives of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). They were joined by Manuel Nemer of Fairlawn, an immigrant from Lebanon and the father of Ms. Nemer. The group attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents where they discussed the importance of reasonable and compassionate immigration policies.

“It was an honor to meet with Ms. Celebrezze, Mr. Eichorn, Ms. Kats, Ms. Linetsky, Mr. Nemer, and Ms. Nemer of the American Immigration Lawyers Association,” Brown said. “Their work ensures that immigrants have an advocate as they navigate the citizenship process.
