WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with three Future Farmers of America (FFA) student groups. Students from Edgewood Butler Tech FFA in Trenton, Talawanda Butler Tech FFA, and Smithville FFA attended his weekly coffee with constituents during their trip to Washington D.C. for the National FFA Organization’s Washington Leadership Conference.
“It was an honor to meet with these future leaders,” Brown said. “They exemplify Ohio’s strong tradition of agricultural work and the talent and drive fostered in our schools.”
Future Farmers of America is an intra-curricular vocational student organization that focuses on agricultural education. Students combine participation in the organization with classroom and laboratory instruction and supervised agricultural experience programs.
