WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with members of the Ohio National Education Association (NEA), including Gretchen Washington of Cincinnati.
“It was an honor to meet with such strong education advocates,” said Brown. “The NEA’s work helps ensure that public education maintains a high standard and prepares our students to enter institutions of higher education and the workforce.”
According to its website, NEA is the largest professional employee organization in the nation and has a mission to advance the cause of public education. NEA has 3 million members and affiliate organizations in every state such as the Ohio Education Association.
