WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with Catherine Rogers, a Chagrin Falls native and rising senior at The Ohio State University (OSU). Rogers is an OSU John Glenn Fellow and is interning in Washington D.C. this summer for The Ohio State University Office of Federal Relations. Brown met with Rogers at his weekly coffee with constituents in Washington, D.C.

“It was an honor to meet with Ms. Rogers,” Brown said. “Exceptional students like Catherine exemplify the intelligence and drive fostered at Ohio colleges and universities.”

John Glenn Fellows are The Ohio State University undergraduates chosen to participate in the university’s Washington Academic Internship Program. Fellows spend a semester in Washington, D.C. exploring public policy in their individual academic interest areas. Participants receive academic credit for completion of an internship, a policymaking and public service course, and a policy paper developed through a research seminar. The Washington Academic Internship Program is run by OSU’s John Glenn School of Public Affairs and is open to all majors.
