WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with Micaela Wright and Taylor Dill, residents of Arcanum and Hollansburg, and collegiate members of the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association (OCWGA). Micaela and Taylor, along with other collegiate Ohio members of OCWGA, attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents while in Washington D.C. to attend the National Corn Growers Congress.

“It was an honor to meet with Micaela, Taylor and their fellow Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association members,” Brown said. “I am proud to advocate for Ohio agriculture, which helps put food on our tables and provide clean energy for vehicles nationwide.”

Brown is the first Ohioan to serve on the Senate Agriculture Committee in nearly 50 years. In 2014, he was part of the Senate Farm Bill Conference Committee that successfully negotiated a five-year farm bill that had been stalled for more than three years.
