WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with Christina Cooper, Yellow Springs resident and member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Cooper attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents.

“It was an honor to meet with Ohio members of the American Physical Therapy Association today,” Brown said. “Physical therapists help Ohioans improve their quality of life.”

The Ohio members of APTA were in Washington for APTA’s annual Physical Therapy Day on Capitol Hill. They spoke to Brown about several bills he has cosponsored to support physical therapists including the Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Services Act, which would repeal existing caps on physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services.
