WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with Major General Mark E. Bartman, The Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, in Washington, D.C. As The Adjutant General, Major General Bartman is responsible for the command of the Ohio National Guard, including the Ohio Army National Guard, the Ohio Air National Guard, the Ohio Military Reserve, and the Ohio Naval Militia. Brown and Bartman were joined by Major General John Harris, The Assistant Adjutant General for the Ohio Army National Guard, and Brigadier General Greg Schnulo, The Assistant Adjutant General for the Ohio Air National Guard.

“The men and women of the Ohio National Guard play a vital role in our nation’s defense and emergency response efforts,” said Brown. “I will continue to work alongside Major General Bartman, Major General Harris, and Brigadier General Schnulo to ensure that the Ohio National Guard has the resources it needs to continue fulfilling its missions.”

Brown continues to support the mission of the Ohio National Guard. Last week, Brown urged the U.S. Air Force to select the 180th Fighter Wing in Toledo, Ohio to receive the new F-35A Joint Strike Fighter.
