WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with students from Ohio State University’s John Glenn Learning Community at his weekly coffee with constituents.

“It was an honor to meet with the John Glenn Learning Community students,” Brown said. “These bright young students exemplify the intelligence and drive fostered at Ohio colleges and universities.”

According to Chris Adams, Assistant Director of Admissions and Student Services of the program, The John Glenn Learning Community provides an opportunity for Ohio State University freshman interested in public policy and public service to live together and explore their shared interests. Participants live in the same residence hall; take a specialized course together; volunteer in the community; and attend meetings, discussions, and lectures on different areas of policy. They also take an annual educational trip to Washington D.C., open to current participants as well as upperclassmen who completed the program as first-year students.
