Sen. Brown meets with Open World Delegation Members from Ukraine Traveling to Akron

WASHINGTON, D.C. –U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with delegates of the Open World Leadership Center from Ukraine. The group met with Brown during his weekly coffee with constituents while visiting Washington, D.C. before heading to Akron.

“It was such an honor to meet with members from the Open World Delegation,” said Brown. “I am glad to know that Akron will be hosting them while they visit Ohio to advocate for refugees.”

The Open World Leadership Center administers an exchange program for countries of the post-soviet era to engage and interact with Members of Congress and Congressional staff. While in Akron, the delegates will work with organizations that support refugees.

Brown, the vice-chair of the Senate Ukraine Caucus, remains an advocate for the interests of the people of Ukraine, by working with colleagues in Washington and meeting with leaders in Ohio’s Ukrainian community.
