WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with an Ohio delegation representing the Climate Action Campaign, including USW Local 1046 member Lee Geisse, who also represents the Blue Green Alliance. Geisse, who attended Brown’s weekly coffee with constituents while in Washington D.C., was joined by Claire Boettler of the Ohio Public Health Association, Lucas County Commissioners President Tina Skeldon Wozniak, Frank Szollosi of the National Wildlife Federation, Mark Shanahan of New Morning Energy, and Bryan Mark who serves as a Principal Investigator for The Ohio State University’s Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.

“It was an honor to meet with Lee and her fellow Climate Action Campaign members,” Brown said. “It’s critical that we take action to reduce asthma rates, protect Lake Erie and our drinking water, and improve air quality. Their advocacy will help ensure the health of future generations of Ohioans.”
