WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two residents of Stow will be in Washington this week to participate in White House events on faith-based and neighborhood partnerships as well as kick off Hispanic Heritage Month. U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) welcomed the two Stowites—Diana Miller and Sharlene Chesnes— to Washington, and applauded their leadership in Northeast Ohio.
“It’s not surprising that two Stowites have been invited to the White House this week. Northeast Ohioans are leaders in innovation and job creation,” Brown said. “I applaud Diana Miller and Sharlene Chesnes for their recognition by President Obama of the top-notch work they are doing in Stow, and am pleased to welcome them to Washington, D.C. this week.”
Today, Diana Miller of the Community Job Club will attend a White House symposium on the role of faith-based and neighborhood partnerships in job creation. Tomorrow, Sharlene Chesnes of Interchez Global will attend the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Kick off of Hispanic Heritage Month. Both events will focus on economic development and job creation.
