WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Community Facilities Grants program has awarded a $53,000 grant to Athens County. Funding will be used to replace the roof of a historic building in downtown Glouster as part of a project to revitalize the area.

“Small rural communities face unique challenges, and this federal funding will make the investments they need to improve the lives of their residents,” Brown said. “My office and I will continue working to ensure that Athens County gets its fair share of support and investment.”
