To apply for an internship in my Washington D.C. office, please fill out the application below. You must submit a cover letter, resume, and at least three references.

An internship in my D.C. office serves as both a professional and educational experience. Interns learn the inner workings of a Senate office, see how Congress works up close, and develop the skill set necessary for an entry-level job on Capitol Hill.

Duties include a balance of administrative, constituent, and legislative work, such as talking to constituents, attending hearings and briefings, and leading tours of the capitol.

Our internships are designed primarily for the educational benefit of students currently enrolled in college. As such, students must have completed at least one year of college classes before starting the internship.

One intern in the D.C. office is selected each term to assist the Communications team in daily activities such as handling press requests, pitching media contacts, and drafting press releases.
