Together We Rise


Community, Collaboration and Progress

This year’s summit will shine a light on the good work women are doing in southwest Ohio to uplift their communities.  A powerful line-up of business and civic leaders, as well as community activists, will discuss their efforts to address infant mortality, childhood poverty, food insecurity, affordable housing, disparities in education, and wage and employment issues facing working women.  


The event is free to attend for all registered participants.  Lunch is provided and free childcare is available onsite for attendees.

Location: Xavier’s Cintas Center, 1624 Herald Avenue, Cincinnati, OH  45207

Time: Registration begins at 8:00am and the program ends at 4:00pm



Featured speakers will include U.S. Senator Kamala D. Harris, as well as Cincinnati’s First Lady Dena Cranley, Hamilton County Commissioner Denise Driehaus, Cincinnati City Councilmember Tamaya Dennard, Jackie Congedo, Shakila Ahmad, Johanna Reeder, and Dr. Karen Bankston, to name a few.  

Attendees will have an opportunity to engage the speakers through panel discussions and an advocacy workshop designed to equip participants with the tools they need to positively impact their communities. 


Women Making a Difference Awards

Senator Brown will recognize the contributions of some local women in the region with the Ohio Women Making a Difference Award.  This year’s honorees will include the Marching Mothers of Hillsboro.
